Description
The LPMS-HR-USB is the USB-interface variant of the LPMS-HR 6-axis IMU series. It connects directly to a PC or single-board computer via standard USB and appears as a virtual COM port, no custom drivers are required on Windows 10+ or Linux. This makes it the fastest path from unboxing to live orientation data, well-suited for development, rapid prototyping, and laboratory evaluation.
Weighing only 10 g and measuring 22.4 × 22.4 × 11 mm, the LPMS-HR-USB is among the lightest and most compact units in the LPMS range, making it a practical choice for weight-constrained research rigs and small robotic platforms.
LP-Research’s sensor fusion algorithm processes gyroscope and accelerometer data to produce stable roll and pitch estimates even under vibration.
Note that without a magnetometer, yaw output is gyroscope-integrated and will drift; applications requiring heading accuracy should supplement with an external reference.
